College of Southern Nevada
Liberty High School 12-13 Program
CSN/Liberty High School 12-13 Program Liberty High School is proud to announce its partnership with the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) in the creation of the “12-13 Program.”
The “12-13 Program” was given this name symbolically to reflect a thirteenth year at Liberty High School toward college credit occurring during a student’s regular four years of high school and/or one year after high school graduation. As you can imagine, this program has the potential of saving parents thousands of tuition dollars since a student could potentially leave Liberty High School and enter college as a sophomore or even a junior!!!
Why?
Because the college courses offered transfer to almost any college in the world. Additionally, the college courses offered qualify for dual credit.
What is dual credit?
It means that a student earns the required high school credit for graduation while, at the same time, earning college credit!!!
Starting spring semester of 2010-2011 Liberty High School will be offering the following CSN classes:
- English 101
- Math 120
- Biology 101
Students literally "kill two birds with one stone" and get a leg-up on their post-high school education. The "12-13 Program" is ONLY available to Liberty High School students. No other CCSD High Schools offer this unique program. Students that come to Liberty High School under CCSD's Open Enrollment Program qualify for the "12-13 Program."
