The State of Nevada has legislated that all students graduating from high schools in Nevada must pass the Nevada High School Proficiency Exams (NHSPE) in reading "R", writing "W", mathematics "M", and science "S".

  • Eleventh and 12th grade students who have not passed one of the three tests or have not taken the NHSPE must take the tests when offered until they pass.
  • Tests from other states do not replace the NHSPE.
  • Highlighted dates are testing dates used to determine AYP results under NCLB.
  • Attendance is required.

If you still need to sign up for the NCAA Clearinghouse and have not done so, please see Ms. McHatton or Ms. James in the counseling office so that we can get you started on the process. Keep in mind that the NCAA Clearinghouse also needs SAT and ACT scores, so if you have not taken either of these tests make sure that you are registered to take them.

The Counseling Office needs to find students who are interested in taking an SAT Prep Seminar offered through Kaplan. The seminar will be offered at a very low cost to students. If you are interested please come to the counseling office to see Ms. McHatton.
